In this role, you’ll be responsible for executing penetration testing and hacking into highly secured and segmented networks leveraging evasive techniques without triggering IDS and detection technologies. This is a hybrid -- Onsite and Remote -- position. The work location is Washington, DC; therefore, local candidates are encouraged to apply.

WORK LOCATION: 20 hours onsite each week -- i.e. 50% on-site and 50% off-site

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute network penetration, web and mobile application testing, source code reviews, wireless network assessments, and social-engineering testing against the agency’s assets
  • Perform penetration tests against internal and external computer systems, networks, applications, and attack surfaces
  • Perform physical security assessments of systems, servers and other network devices to identify areas that require physical protection
  • Create new testing methods to identify security vulnerabilities
  • Compromise highly secured and segmented networks leveraging evasive techniques without triggering IDS and detection technologies
  • Identify and exploit misconfigurations or vulnerability of IT, OT, ICS, and SCADA systems
  • Develop professional-grade reports and brief technical and executive stakeholders
  • Train/educate other security team members on various penetration testing topics
  • Collaborate and provide remediation guidance to technical team members

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 5 years of experience in professional penetration testing
  • Expert knowledge of penetration testing technique and methods
  • Strong knowledge of tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing
  • Thorough understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels
  • Mastery of Unix/Linux/MacOS/Windows operating systems, including bash and PowerShell
  • Strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate at all levels in government and industry.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated, directed, and strong eye for small details that make a difference.
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities

 

DESIRED:

  • Experience with modern hacking and exploitation techniques
  • Presentation skills
  • Experience in supporting the US Federal Government
  • Existing US Government clearance. Treasuring Clearance a PLUS
  • Not necessary but desired certifications, include OSCP, CEH, GPEN, etc.

 

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5 or more hands-on network penetration testing experience

EDUCATION: BS/BA degree in IT, engineering or related field (additional years of experience may be substituted).

WORK LOCATION: Washington, DC during pen testing activities; otherwise, remote

CLEARANCE: U.S. Citizenship is required and ability to attain a clearance
