The Customer Service Representative is primarily responsible for supporting the outside sales team, distributors, contractors, architects, and homeowners by performing the following duties. The Customer Service Representative has an opportunity to join one of the Largest Roofing Manufacturers in the country and receive excellent benefits.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with distributors, representatives and customers via phone and email to address inquiries and provides solutions
  • Processes incoming purchase orders
  • Processes sample request
  • Makes outbound follow up calls
  • Processes reports and returns
  • Identifies and recommends ways to improve sales and customer support procedures
  • Handles data entry in a consistent, timely and accurate fashion
  • Works with outside sales representatives to keep customer displays and literature up to date
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database
  • Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries
  • Places and tracks customer orders
  • Answers inbound customer calls and makes outbound follow-up calls as necessary
  • Performs account maintenance such as change address, history, new accounts, etc.
  • Initiates claim actions for damaged, misdirected, or lost shipments

Customer Service Representative Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Access, Outlook, Visio, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent people management and strong communication skills (verbal & written) including excellent telephone skills
  • Ability to demonstrate innovation and good judgment/problem-solving skills when making decisions
  • Ability to establish an individual course of action to accomplish goals while using appropriate resources
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision
  • Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems
  • Team player with a "can do" attitude that can work in a fast-paced environment
