Location: Petaluma CA

The Assistant Production Supervisor is responsible for the people, processes, procedures, and related controls to ensure timely and accurate production in accordance with production planning and company standards. The Assistant Production Supervisor is a hands-on, working manager accountable for the implementation, documentation, audit, and continuous improvement of all production-related standard work, projects, and related systems.

Compensation: $28-32 per hour plus benefits

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

·       Coordinate daily production, cleaning activities, and schedules to meet production objectives as assigned by the Production Manager.

·       Manage equipment, employees, and raw materials so that all are prepared to meet the production schedule by planning and anticipating production needs.

·       Ensure that production efficiencies are maximized and waste is minimized.

·       Monitor production and employees to ensure that all safety and quality standards are met.

·       Ensure positive employee relations and maximize labor efficiency.

·       Manage regular cleaning of the work area, utensils, and equipment based on the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) following safety and sanitation procedures. 

·       Properly address and report to management all operational, maintenance, and employee issues on time.

·       Maintains adequate knowledge of products and equipment to ensure the ability to direct employees to perform the job properly.

·       Write work instructions and SOPs to provide working guidance to the production employees  (production-related)

·       Ensure that all paperwork is accurate, complete, and on time.

·       Communicate with managers and supervisors about the status of employees and production.

·       Enforce and ensure compliance with all rules, policies, programs, and procedures, including but not limited to GMPs, SQF, Safety, and            Quality.

·       Train new employees and assist in refresher training as needed (production-related training).

·       Administer coaching and corrective action as necessary.

·       Adheres to product specification requirements throughout the manufacturing process to maintain the desired product quality results.

·       Assume increased responsibilities as production requirements dictate.

·       Assume production manager responsibilities as needed in their absence.

·       Assist management on continual improvement projects.

·       Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

 

Requirements:

·       Bilingual. Spanish/English

·       A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

·       Food or beverage manufacturing a plus.

 

·       High School diploma or equivalent
