HIRING: Sales Representative
Location: Ankeny, Iowa
Job Description:
Our growing team is looking for an ambitious sales representative to maintain and develop existing and prospective business accounts. Working alongside our sales and management team, you will support and help grow our business to business sales. You will also be responsible for some office administration duties.
Full, industry specific training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships
- Provide customer experience focused support
- Achieve and exceed agreed upon sales targets, new account goals, and customer contacts within schedule
- Coordinate sales effort with other team members
- Supply management with detailed reports on customer data
- Support team with data entry and system management as needed including customer orders
Skills:
- Customer Service Skills: Have the ability to communicate in a friendly and professional way at all times to customers, listening to their needs and helping communicate options for them.
- Communication Skills: You will need to speak to customers about a product's different features, and answer any questions they might have. Excellent telephone manner is expected.
- Persistence: Have the ability to overcome objections in a positive manner, staying focused, and continuing to reach out to prospective buyers who haven’t had a chance to respond to you.
- Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to periodic changes in customer assignments and in achieving departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Ability to sit at a computer and talk on the phone for long periods of time.
- Previous sales experience
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- People skills-ability to communicate, work, and deal with all personalities in person and over the phone,
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales goals and expectations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Hours:
- Full time opportunity within our normal business hours: 8:00am-4:30pm CST
Benefits:

- Our office closes at 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday, and 4:00 pm on Fridays.
- We are closed on all major holidays
