Clinical Education Manager

Objective: The Clinical Education Manager (CEM) serves as the primary educator within the Port City Ambulance education system. Collaborating closely with the Operations Manager, the CEM plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality medical education and training to our providers, thereby enhancing patient care standards. This role entails achieving clinical and educational objectives through exemplary communication, meticulous organizational skills, and proficient project management techniques. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year's tenure at Port City Ambulance, possess state Instructor status, be certified to instruct ACLS/PALS/CPR, and demonstrate the ability to conduct continuing education sessions as required. Furthermore, the Clinical Education Manager is expected to exemplify the standards set forth for all PCAS employees.
The CEM functions as a full-time crew paramedic. In addition to the crew paramedic job requirements, the CEM must also include the following:

- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Execute paramedic-level care in accordance with PCAS Paramedic duties and guidelines.
- Proficiently navigate and adhere to all relevant PCAS policies and procedures.
- Must have a deep understanding of PCAS clinical guidelines.
- May need to work closely with Medical Director to ensure education and clinical needs are satisfactory
- Educational Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive records of employee certifications.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date education documentation in compliance with DHEC regulations.
- Develop protocols for the implementation of new treatments as directed by the Medical Control Physician.
- Provide guidance to Field Training Specialists during orientation on truck activities.
- Design and conduct quarterly in-service training sessions to fulfill ongoing educational requirements and address clinical advancements.
- Oversee the clinical Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) process.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement new clinical, educational, and documentation strategies.
- Formulate remediation plans for providers requiring additional education or training.
- ACLS, PALS, BLS Instructor Certs
- Critical Care and/or 911 service experience
- 1 year experience as a paramedic
- Have or must obtain wit all applicable DHEC inservice training instructor certifications
- Must be a full time paramedic working a 24 hour rotation
- Must be in good standing with complany with no disciplianary actions within 6 months.
