Client Services Representative

JOB SUMMARY
Homeowners Choice currently has openings for Client Service Representatives with the opportunity to work hybrid/remote while living in the Tampa Bay area. We are looking for individuals with a strong customer service background, seeking a career in the property and casualty industry, and driven to become subject matter experts in their new role.
As a Client Services Representative at Homeowners Choice, you are responsible for providing world class service to customers regarding their insurance policy through phone, email, and fax communication.
Shifts available:
- Monday-Friday from 10am-7pm
- Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides exceptional customer service when responding to customer questions and concerns
- Processes endorsements and policy changes forwarded by agents, policyholders, and lienholders
- Assists with payment transactions and inquires
- Handles First Notice of Loss calls
- Keeps detailed records of transactions within our policy management system
- Aids other departments during CAT (catastrophe) events
- Maintains continuing education requirements
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Clear, concise oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Professional and courteous
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Works well in a team environment and independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Quiet workspace at home with limited distractions
- Reliable home internet required
- Use of multiple monitor displays
- Constant sitting, computer, and telephone usage
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Two years or more related customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Insurance 20-44 License (certified or acquired within 30 days of employment)
HYBRID WORKING & COLLABORATION WEEKS
To foster HCI’s commitment to creating a collaborative work environment, remote workers will be required to report to a central office location for one week every quarter for collaboration, team building, and educational exercises. Attendance during collaboration weeks is a vital component of our team culture, and therefore mandatory unless exceptions are approved through Human Resources. Additionally, employees may be asked to report to the office outside of collaboration weeks as project requirements, team meetings, or other organizational needs that necessitate in-person collaboration occur.
