WE ARE LOOKING FOR

JDL Packaging Systems Inc. has an immediate opening for a Driver for one of our 26 foot box trucks. Duties include local delivery and pick ups (LA and Orange County) and product transfers between warehouses. Our Company is open Monday- Friday. Minimum 2 years professional driving experience and a clean driving record a must.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Have a valid driver's license with no suspension, no major collision and a GOOD driving record.

· Must pass a background check including drug & alcohol, and criminal records.

No DUI/DWI within the last 5 years, zero points on MVR.

· Must be fluent in the English language, both verbal and written.

· Load freight onto the truck using a forklift and pallet jack, and utilize load locks, straps, covers, etc. to ensure that freight will be delivered in good condition at final destination.

· Unload freight from truck utilizing proper equipment and securing for transit when necessary.

· Coordinate pick-up and deliveries..

· Upon arrival, receive dock assignment, complete and sign appropriate paperwork documenting accurate piece count.

· Verify that all freight corresponds to paperwork.

· Communicate discrepancies or damages to dispatch immediately.

· Maintain contact or communication with dispatch office and promptly report all delays due to weather conditions, breakdowns, accidents, or any other emergencies.

· Ensure equipment is kept in proper repair and working order.

· Clean and secure assigned unit at end of scheduled shift..

· Communicate "Proof Of Delivery" immediately upon delivery.

· Assist in warehouse if driving is not required or between runs.

Qualifications and Skills

· High School Diploma or its equivalent preferred.

· One to two years experience driving a Bobtail/Straight Truck 26 ft. or more.
