Responsibilities

  • Oversee the team’s customer performance metrics, focusing on retention, satisfaction, and growth.
  • Lead and mentor the team in executing strategic business development initiatives to achieve performance goals.
  • Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Analyze performance data and reports to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create a positive collaborative environment that promotes creativity and accountability.
  • Ensure the team is following all company procedures and industry regulations or laws.
  • Act as the leader for escalations, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining customer and carrier satisfaction.
  • Delegate workload effectively across the team, ensuring tasks as assigned based on strengths and priorities to maximize productivity and meet team goals.
  • Handle HR-related employee issues, such as performance concerns or conflict resolution, while partnering with the HR Manager to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and employment laws.
  • Handle administrative tasks including approving PTO requests, timesheets, and other employee-related paperwork.
  • Provide feedback on and contribute to reports for senior management, offering insights and recommendations based on team performance and market analysis.
  • Obtain new customer accounts through prospecting via phone or virtual meetings and occasional in person meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with acquired customers, serving as the point of contact for escalation issues, creating solutions using Amino's resources, increasing gross profit $, and obtaining new lanes/locations.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager to support the overall success of the team and company goals.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of previous freight brokerage experience required. Must have experience dealing with the customer-facing side of the business.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of truckload market.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and follow-thru abilities.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Strategic mindset, and proactive problem-solving and negotiation aptitude.
  • Strong work ethic with team mentality.

Reporting to Dallas office with normal working hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. CST Monday – Friday.
