Job Description: Our client is a world-leading manufacturer of high precision and high-performance laser cutting and sawing machines, CNC bending, and end-forming machines. The Field Technician/ Maintenance and Reliability Specialist is a road warrior who will perform preventative maintenance on the company’s equipment at customer sites while providing support and recommendations to programmers and operators

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative maintenance and series of equipment for customer at customer site

· Support the sales staff in servicing company equipment

· Provide support to programmers on best recommendations and approaches to programming parts

· Provide support and training for operators and maintenance personnel when needed and onsite

· Recommend improved practices, methods, and procedures, to increase efficiency and quality while reducing equipment downtime

· Support maintenance performance monitoring; root cause analysis; condition-based monitoring; and reliability-centered maintenance approach aimed towards achieving a reliable operation

· Carefully and accurately documents all service performed on the equipment as well as what service needs are to be accomplished on the equipment in the future

· Prepares service reports/work order forms timely and accurately

· Track expenses and complete expense reports on time

· Maintain a safe work environment and operate within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines

· Must be available to work overtime as required by customer need

Requirements and Qualifications:

· High School Diploma

· Minimum 5 years of experience in machine tool operations, maintenance, and repair

· Minimum 2 years of CAD/CAM software experience

· Minimum 5 years in a technical position

· Travel as required, 90 – 100%. Travel will be regional or international (100% of travel expenses paid)

· Must live within 1 hour of the Top 30 airports in the United States

· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Ability to effectively use electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics on the job

· Ability to program parts for CNC machines

· Ability to utilize electric/electronic testing and measurement equipment

· Proven customer service skills with a primary focus on customer relationships

· Must possess a valid passport or be capable of obtaining a valid passport

· Basic hand tools, Fluke Multimeter, and other miscellaneous machine calibration tools

· Ability to understand CAD drawings
