Design Associate Wovens + Denim
Location: hybrid
Duration: Mid July/End of July – 6 months
Position Purpose and Scope
Design Associate for Boys Denim & Woven Bottoms from initial concept, research, development, through line completion and stock production.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with Head of Design to ensure product is designed in accordance with brand aesthetic, quality, sustainable materials within calendar and cost parameters.
• Organize information for core and seasonal product, presentation boards, palettes, research, samples.
• Create, manage, and distribute Adobe XD line sheets for design presentations and global adoptions.
• Sketch in Illustrator/Photoshop – flat garment sketches, design templates for tech handoffs, layouts, line sheets, graphics, logos, trims.
• Obtain and coordinate information between interdepartmental colleagues to achieve all calendar deadlines and milestones.
• Work in PLM systems – managing design images, input design related information on BOMs. Work closely with Product Management Team to ensure product integrity.
• Research market, competitors, fabrications and attributes.
• Attend fittings and work with Technical Design Team.
Requirements
• Degree in Fashion or related field preferred.
• Working Knowledge of PLM Systems
• Excellent Computer Skills – Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD.
• Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills – must be detailed oriented and able to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Understanding of garment and fabric construction, preferably of denim and woven garments and fabrications.
