Established multi-line accessories company is looking for an Assistant Designer and an Associate Designer to join our growing team. Working with the senior design team on all aspects of the design process for handbags, small leather goods, travel, cosmetics, and new divisions as we grow. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to gain experience in multiple divisions of accessories in the off-price market. We are interested in candidates who have strong graphic skills and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Create technical sketches in Illustrator – recolor CADs for sales presentations
Create/update tech packs and communicate clearly with factories
Organize the design room, catalog hardware and material swatches
Research & take on small projects as needed
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Great attitude/team player
Organized & able to multi-task
Creative with a high taste level
Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Microsoft Office is a must
We are looking for two designers to join the team – Assistant Designer: entry level (0-1 years of experience), $45K and Associate Designer: 2-6 years of design experience, up to $60K. Salary is based on experience.
5 days per week in our midtown office. Not only are we a fast-growing, busy team, we love to laugh and are excellent mentors. Must submit resume and portfolio to be considered.
