Mechanical Assembly and Laser Technician

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our company. This is a diverse role with the ability to impact multiple facets of the fabrication, assemly and integration of our products. You will perform a variety of tasks, including operating a CO2 laser, Fiber Laser, assembly of complex electro-mechanical products, product finishing, light fabrication and some facility maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Generate programs and operate a CO2 and fiber lasers.
• Read and understand drawings to fabricate and assemble products and components
• Utilitizes hand tools and small shop equipment for assembly and light fabrication of components
• Provide support to paint department by performing intricate stripping and paint preparation.
• Provide light fabrication support by bending light sheet metal, installing helicoils, shaping composite materials, deburring fabricated parts, installing rivets, installing heat serts as examples.
• Complete necessary product documentation and log results into computer
• Prepare finished products for shipment
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Qualifications:

• Desire to have responsibility over broad range of processes
• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly and other related fields
• Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to work well in teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience wth EZCAD and RDWORKS preferred
