Industrial Painter, Wet Coat HVLP

Adjuvo Technologies is looking for a qualified painter that is eager to become part of a growing business in the training and simulation industry. This position requires the preparation, conversion coating, priming and application of urethane and epoxy paints on industrial products using HVLP spray. Adjuvo designs and fabricates high fidelity, high reliability training assets for the Department of Defense and related contractors. Located in Oviedo, FL.
Requirements: Experience in the application of wet-coat urethane paints using spray gun. Experience in fiberglass and metal body work using fill-primers and polyester putties. Metal preparation with DA sander, scotch-bright and similar. Automotive paint and bodywork is applicable.
Typical job duties include:
· Preparation of metal for finish
· Plating of aluminum using Type I and Type II conversion coating
· Masking parts per drawing using tape/plugs
· Application of primer (epoxy or urethane)
· Application of urethane paint
· Maintenance of paint booth, prep area, all painting equipment and coating line
· Proper cleaning, storage and disposal of materials
Candidate must have experience applying paint in an industrial application. Candidate must have ability and agility to access all sides including low parts that would require painting from underneath hand strength to operate a sander for preparation of parts. Candidate must be able to wear a respirator. Prep area is air conditioned. This position will also perform light mechanical assembly or other tasks as required to support completion of products. Candidate must be adble to read drawings and understand paint type, color and masking requirements from the drawings. Please provide work experience, education and salary expectations. Candidate must be a US Citizen and be authorized to work in the US.
