Apartment Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

MILES Property Management is a new, all-inclusive, fully furnished rental experience that includes everything you need and nothing you don’t. Focus on what matters and forget the rest. We are seeking a dedicated, experienced skilled Lead Maintenance Technician/Supervisor to join our team. As the Lead Maintenance Technician/Supervisor, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our multi-unit residential facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance:

Assist in the repair and maintenance of light commercial and multi-unit residential properties.

Perform general carpentry tasks including drywall repair, painting, and maintaining various floor coverings and ceiling systems.

Address plumbing and heating-related emergencies, including after-hours response when necessary.

Inventory Management: Follow procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, and tools from the community’s maintenance shop. Track inventory usage and return unused items to the established location.

Notify the Maintenance Supervisor about re-ordering needs.

Documentation and Paperwork:

Complete documentation and other paperwork timely and accurately to ensure service requests are appropriately documented and tracked.

Grounds and Common Areas:

Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities to ensure they are clean and presentable.

Perform daily exterior maintenance to provide clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times.

Quality Assurance:

Periodically inspect work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to verify the quality of work, materials, and services.

Alert the Service Manager and Property Manager of any potential liabilities or necessary repairs.

Qualifications and Skills:

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Proficiency with computer programs and word processing software.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with co-workers, residents, and vendors.

Must have EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).

Must have all certifications as required by state and local jurisdictions (for both Certified and Non-Certified Service Technicians).
