We are currently hiring for a part time cross-trained dental assistant position which includes chair side assisting as well as front desk and administrative duties. We are a long established private dental practice where patient satisfaction and quality dental care is our priority. You will be a member of our friendly compassionate team where kindness to yourself, your fellow teammates, and our patients is valued and expected. Our team not only takes excellent care of our patients, but we respect and support each other.

Qualifications:

  • RDA license is required.
  • X-ray Certification in preferred.
  • Experience with Dentrix and Dexis or other dental practice management software is a plus.

The office hours are M-Th 8:30-5 with a 1 hour lunch break. This position will be 15 to 25 hours per week depending on staffing needs. Employees are eligible for the bonus program after a 3 month probationary period.

The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting the Dentists in 4 handed dentistry and includes but is not limited to: ·

  • preparing the operatories and the patients for treatment 
  • exposing radiographs
  • taking impressions
  • fabricating provisionals
  • laboratory procedures as directed
  • sterilization of instruments
  • following office protocol for disinfection and sterilization
  • charting patient procedures
  • keeping the operatories clean, organized and stocked

This position also includes assisting front desk staff. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train someone eager to learn.

Tasks include: ·

  • welcoming patients
  • answering the phone and returning calls as needed
  • taking and recording payments
  • helping with insurance
  • helping the administrative team as needed,
  • scheduling patient appointments
  • keeping track of supplies
