Summary:

A personal trainer Interacts with members and program participants to deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable training sessions in accordance with the objectives and policies set forth by Elevation Health. They work with clients to create individualized plans for achieving their fitness goals within their scope of practice. Provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality training, and high energy motivation to members and participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.


Essential Functions

Personal Training:

  • Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with clients; maintains the culture of the fitness center by delivering excellent customers service

  • Provides excellent and knowledgeable personal training sessions (virtually or onsite)

  • Maintains pertinent/required files on each client

  • Uses MindBody to manage and check in all client sessions

  • Submits check requests and timesheet by date requested by management (all clients trained/hours worked)

  • Provides fitness assessments, equipment orientations and tours of the fitness center

  • Advises clients about important safety concerns and demonstrates exercise or maneuvers

  • Provides assistance to correct ineffective or incorrect technique

  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly fitness center and equipment

  • Talks to members about goals, prompts fitness and wellness services and programs offered

  • Helps with incentive and wellness programming as requested

  • Operates and follows all rules, regulations, and security protocol provided by Elevation Health and the above listed client

  • Other duties as assigned


Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience working one on one with clients and small groups

  • Must have and maintain a nationally recognized personal training certification

  • Must complete Elevation Health’s In-House Personal Training Certification

  • Speciality certification a plus

  • CPR and AED certification required

  • Ability to modify exercise programs to meet the needs of the client

  • Must be professional, motivational and demonstrate excellent customer service

  • Must have a general understanding of marketing services and their unique training niches to members
