Alum-A-Coat is a leading finisher of high-quality aluminum extrusions for various industrial and architectural applications. With a focus on providing exceptional customer service and quick turnarounds, Alum-A-Coat is a dynamic and growing company. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Materials Clerk to join our team. The Materials Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of materials, tracking and organization of inventory as well as other stocking programs to support the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of all materials, packaging materials, and finished goods in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure that all materials are properly labeled and identified for easy tracking and inventory control.
- Execute the loading and unloading of all outbound and inbound shipments, respectively.
- Ensure accuracy of outbound shipments (pre-departure) with respect to shipping documents.
- Conduct Receiving Inspection functions for customer supplied materials in an accurate and timely manner.
- Inform administrative staff of incoming vendor shipments and supply supporting documentation, if provided.
- Assist (with a forklift) in the movement and cataloging of any and all materials throughout the facility as well as to/from customer warehouses.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of all outbound and inbound shipments, respectively by forklift operators.
- Oversee the movement of materials throughout the facility by forklift operators.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain constant communication with administrative staff regarding all activities involving the movement of material in to, out of and within the facility.
- Physical inspection of incoming shipments from vendors and with respect to relevant purchase orders on the ERP as shipments are received.
Qualifications:
· GED/High School Diploma.
· English Language Skills (read,write,speak, compute).
· Spanish language skills a plus but not required.
· Minimum 2 years experience as Forklift operator.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
