NYCOM ELECTRICAL CORP, a cooperative and collaborative team-oriented environment is looking for an experienced Electrician Foreman. The right candidate will be detail oriented, and work with precision and focus to deliver quality driven results.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a journeyman in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures using blueprints, schematics and sketches. Must have a verifiable work history on this field

• OSHA 62-hour SST license required, other licenses and certifications a plus

• Experience using hand tools, small power tools, shop machines, and heavy equipment.

• Experience inspecting installation sites.

• Experience studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installations procedures.

• Experience reading contract drawings.

• Experience installing and mounting electronic controls, device panels, sensors, and components.

• Experience installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, wiring, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment following drawings of electrical layouts and building plans.

• Ability to perform interlock wiring as required.

• Experience testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices.

• Ability to appropriately diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate to cause of breakdown and take appropriate steps to correct the problem.

• Ability to instruct and train workers to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

• Has a clear understanding of the latest edition of the NEC.

• Strong communications skills required (Bilingual a plus)

Responsibilities

• Work to establish, adjust, and maintain work sequences to meet the construction schedule for a given project.

• Organize and coordinate all project materials and equipment.

• Read and interpret specifications, contract documents, plans, and prepares sketches of proposed work as well as producing layout drawings and code calculations for projects.

• Analyze and quickly resolve any work problems that may arise and ensure that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner.

• Lead by example—set, monitor, and enforce the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of work set forth by Nycom Electric.

• Conduct quality control inspections on project sites.

• Coordinates with all other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transitions.
