Datacom Technician Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot data communication systems and network equipment
• Work with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware
• Test and analyze network performance
• Provide technical support and resolve network-related issues
• Create and maintain network documentation

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a datacom technician
• Knowledge of network protocols and technologies
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Certifications such as CCNA or equivalent are a plus

Educational Requirements:

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Professional certifications in networking are highly desirable
