Our company is growing rapidly, and we are currently seeking Residential New Construction Installers as well as Residential Replacement Installers to join our team. In this position, the Installer will be responsible for HVAC construction jobs for heating and cooling systems and accessories.

At United we take pride in the processes we’ve created to set our new construction installers up for success. With our fully functioning on-site sheet metal shop, our ductwork is delivered to the jobsite ready to install, already sized, cut, snapped together, and insulated as necessary. The result is an install process that is faster and easier than industry norms.

We are looking for experienced Leads, as well as apprentices to train. Experienced Leads are eligible for a $4,000* Sign on Bonus. Apprentices who are interested in paid, on the job training are eligible for a $2,000* Sign on Bonus

 

Responsibilities:

  • Traveling to job sites daily as scheduled
  • Hang, wrap, cut and size duct correctly
  • Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer; operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts; or inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints.
  • Size and install copper line sets
  • Size and install furnace venting
  • Install thermostats and thermostat wiring
  • Install all aspects of a metal duct system including trunk line, branch lines, boots and registers
  • Communicate with Field Supervisor throughout each project to ensure proper and prompt completion of each job
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
  • Accurately and timely entry of hours worked each day
  • Proper use of tools and equipment
  • Adhere to the highest standards of quality
  •  

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ HVAC technical and trade experience for Leads
  • NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY FOR HELPERS
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Current MO or KS driver’s license and good driving record
  • Ability to safely lift 100+ lbs.
  • Able to tolerate extreme temperatures for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work at height
  • Able to work overtime and weekend hours, if needed
  • Able to continually push, pull, lift, grasp, hold, carry, reach, reach above the shoulders, stoop, bend at the waist, bend at the knee, kneel, bend side to side, crouch, stand on step stools or small ladders and balance.
  • Work safely following company policies
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass drug screen, physical exam, and background check as a condition of employment.

*Only new hires are eligible for Sign-n bonus, Bonus is payable in 3 increments: 1/3 at 90 days, 1/3 at 6 months, and 1/3 at 1 year of continuous employment. Must be active employee in good standing at time of payout.
