EEP is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will handle both routine and non-routine clerical/accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger postings, and more. Job title: Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable and/or accounts payable processes.
  • Perform GL/month-end balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end reporting.
  • Utilize report writers to prepare monthly management reports.
  • Review, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Process daily cash receipts.
  • Reconcile credit card accounts, PayPal, and Amazon on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain accurate customer and vendor data.
  • Email invoices to customers daily.
  • Match invoices and receiving documents to purchase orders.
  • Assist in weekly payment and check disbursements.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and internal customers.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, answering phones, and data entry.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other desktop efficiency tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems; MS Dynamics is a plus.
  • Must be reliable, willing to work overtime and complete projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial services.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated history of motivated continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening and comprehension abilities.

Compensation:

  • Pay rate: $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).

Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
