Engineering Project Manager

- Pay range: $28-$30 DOE
Objectives of this role
- Review and understand all customer requirements associated with the assigned project and provide timely submissions of designs that meet the requirements.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, creating shop drawings, management of approvals and releases, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Analyze project status continually and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
- Review technical information provided by the customer through Regional Sales Managers for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturing concerns
- Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers
- Collaborate with customers and internal manufacturing to achieve a design that meets customer requirements and can be manufactured efficiently with in-house capabilities
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
- Monitor all project activities and work in accordance with the approved timeline and quickly resolve issues that impact a timely delivery of the project
- Required skills and qualifications
- Four or more years of project management experience
- CAD experience in the detailing and design of product components and assemblies (sheetmetal design experience a plus)
- Experience in broad collaboration with customers, Sales team, Production team, and external partners
- Experience in the product development of a manufactured product (building/architectural products preferred)
- Exemplary attention to detail with prior examples of delivering projects meeting time, cost and quality metrics
- Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
- Proven success working with all levels of management
- Strong written and verbal communication
