Job DescriptionJob Description

The Maintenance Technician III will complete preventive and scheduled maintenance tasks associated with an electro-mechanical component manufacturing facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS       

  • Using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (MMS7), receive work orders, identify faulty equipment, and acquire parts and equipment to complete repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance and other tasks as assigned by supervisor; will also perform scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs as directed
  • Repair production tooling ranging from basic electrical equipment to complex critical equipment and complete projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware/software upgrades
  • Participate in facility health, safety and environmental programs
  • Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment
  • Maintain all maintenance records
  • Ensure fire safety equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.) are operational and that inspections are current
  • Ensure all maintenance tools are in good working condition and stored neatly and securely in the maintenance room
  • Comply with all OSHA, company, and other safety and security policies
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
  • All employees are expected to be in compliance with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma
  • Two year technical degree preferred
  • Trade school or apprenticeship certificates a plus

EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years or more experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment with participation on a process improvement team
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 environment
  • Experience working within Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash compliance procedures is desired
  • Able to operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
  • Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to climb ladders, work from high lifts, and accomplish lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects weighing in excess of 30 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently.  Use of a computer.
