Job DescriptionJob Description

We are partnered with a major medical device manufacturing company seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team in the Newington, CT area You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products and identify improvement areas to increase efficiency.

Hours: First shift: 6:00 am - 3:30 pm; Second Shift: 3:00 pm - 12:30 pm

Pay: Base hourly pay rate ranges from $22-29/hr (depending on experience) + shift differential working on 2nd shift

Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
  • Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
  • Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as the number of defective products per day, etc.
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
  • Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements

​​Qualifications:

  • Previous related quality experience for a manufacturing company
  • Ability to read blueprints AND/OR GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge required
