Job Description: As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from the bidding stage through to completion. This includes overseeing the project budget, calling on assigned accounts, and coordinating with labor crews and customers. You will spend 30% of your time in the field and 70% in the office. EOY BONUS

*MUST BE A HARD WORKER WILLING TO BE IN THE OFFICE AT 7AM* 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Account Management: Call on assigned customer accounts to generate sales and build relationships.
  • Project Planning and Bidding: Prepare quotes based on customer requests and project plans/specifications. Evaluate specified materials and assist with project planning.
  • Site Visits: Visit job sites to confirm conditions, assist with issues, and ensure smooth project progression.
  • Installation Coordination: Schedule and coordinate installation with labor crews and manage project details with customers.
  • Project Close-Out: Assist with project completion and ensure all aspects are finalized according to customer satisfaction and project requirements.

Work Location & Hours:

  • Field Work: Approximately 30% of your time will be spent traveling across Southern California (San Diego, Orange, and LA Counties). Travel costs are reimbursable.
  • Office Work: The remaining 70% will be spent in the office.
  • Working Hours: Hours will vary depending on project schedules and needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Construction Experience: Prior experience in the construction industry (flooring preferred).
  • Computer Skills: High proficiency with computers.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a fast-paced team.
  • Blueprint Reading: Prior experience with reading blueprints/plans.
  • Reliable Transportation: Must have a reliable and well-functioning vehicle for travel.
