Job Description of Escrow Assistant/Jr. Escrow Officer

Alliance Mutual Escrow is looking to add an experienced, organized and bright escrow assistant/Jr. Escrow Officer with excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic to join our vibrant team and support a very established escrow unit within our company. This position requires initiative, attention to detail, the ability to learn quickly, the ability to manage internal and external relationships and superb communication skills. This is an ideal position for a smart, motivated individual looking to advance within a team oriented, high energy organization and is passionate about escrow and helping customers through the home selling and buying process.

Your work day responsibilities will include all of these activities:

  • Reviewing real estate contracts for the preparation of escrow documents
  • The preparation of the necessary documents that are required to process the transaction, including , but not limited to, Grant Deeds, Inter-spousal Deeds, Affidavits, Power of Attorney, Notes and Deeds of Trust , Escrow Instructions and Amendments , etc.
  • Processing the clearance of issues affecting the clear transfer of title, solar leases and Homeowner Association membership.
  • The preparation of lender requests in compliance with TRID requirements
  • Communicating statuses of all open transactions with parties within the transaction
  • Use initiative and judgment within established guidelines for problem solving
  • The preparation of loan document sets for borrower signing
  • Satisfying funding conditions and facilitating the funding of loans
  • Balancing and processing the closing of the transaction
  • Daily reconciliation of the trust account
  • Organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks with the ability to meet deadlines

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years of escrow experience as an assistant and/or Jr. Escrow Officer
  • Able to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple daily tasks in a fast paced work environment and are highly organized. Also able to be flexible in response to changing priorities and needs.
  • Able to analyze circumstances and data to effectively problem solve in any situation
  • You are highly collaborative and team oriented
  • A bright, high energy individual with a passion to contribute
  • A good communicator, both oral and written
  • You work well with little direction but know when to ask for help and you keep your team informed
  • You pride yourself on your punctuality and your professional presentation
  • Proficient in Streamline SMS Software and Green Folders a plus.
