Import Specialist

Insight Global is seeking an Import Specialist to join our client's dynamic and diverse team. The Import Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with all United States’ import laws and trade regulations. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional who possesses experience in international supply chain management and tracking and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor materials imports subject to all United States Government trade regulations.
2. Obtain required documentation from vendors. Review and identify product information required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
3. Develop and implement product traceability processes and procedures to track vendor product information.
4. Prepare and document required product information for U.S. Customs and Border Protection reporting.
5. Liaison with U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials to provide required information and respond to information requests.
6. Maintain accurate records of product information and communication records with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent experience
• 0-3 years of experience in Supply Chain
• International supply chain experience a plus
• Knowledge of current United States’ trade regulations, including the Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act of 2020 , the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 and Buy America Act regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
• Strong focus on teamwork and a high level of professional ethical standards
