Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk role is a vital part of our finance team, responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a keen eye for detail. Duties:

- Process customer payments and maintain accurate records
- Manage and update customer accounts, including invoicing, credit memos, and refunds
- Review and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Perform routine audits of accounts receivable transactions to identify and correct errors
- Utilize accounting software such as PeopleSoft to track and manage customer accounts
- Apply technical accounting skills to ensure compliance with corporate accounting and governmental accounting regulations
- Maintain a thorough understanding of financial transactions and apply medical terminology when necessary
- Negotiate with customers regarding payment terms and resolve any disputes
- Utilize ICD-10 coding standards when processing medical claims
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure seamless processing of customer payments
- Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of accounts receivable tasks
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

Skills:

- Strong understanding of debits and credits
- Proficiency in accounting software such as PeopleSoft
- Experience with coding and technical accounting
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding standards
- Ability to negotiate with customers
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with corporate accounting and governmental accounting
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certification in accounting or a related field preferred

 

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
