Estimator – Quote Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective SUMMARY
Commercial Services & Construction Estimator – Quote Coordinator gathers data to
prepare accurate pricing in presentable and understandable standard formats for response and presentation to the Customer.
Quotes and estimates will be for general maintenance, specific repairs, and remodels.
PRIOR ESTIMATING AND QUOTING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED, along with
strong “real time” communication skills, while Service and Construction Technicians are on site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review customer documents and understand scope of work to quote and invoice.
- Execute and analyze quote processes.
- Obtain pricing for materials.
- Prepare cost analysis recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred.
- Informs immediate Supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quote items or computer database.
- Separates documents and maintains files and records in order as directed.
- Professional Telephone and Email efficiency and strong effective communication skills and demeanor.
- Reviewing and processing NTE’s (Not to Exceed) amounts in accordance to ACS process and procedures, and contractual agreements.
NONESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
- Attends departmental meetings as required.
- Save and archive documents and plans.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience
- College Degree Preferred
At minimum, High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to 12 months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute.
Language Skills
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software and the use of the Internet.
