T he Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-Time Summer Patient Care Technician's for Child's Way, our daycare center for medically fragile children. Child's Way is open from 6:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday. This full-time position works 40 hours per week, working 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. No weekends, nights, or holidays.
- Prior experience working with children in both childcare and health care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Enrolled in some type of secondary healthcare worker training; i.e., nursing school or CNA training OR enrolled in some type of secondary education at a college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate appropriately.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively and positively communicate and cooperate with children, family members, physicians, other staff, and visitors.
- Emotional and mental ability to perform effectively and efficiently under stressful and emergency situations.
- Cognitive ability to utilize basic knowledge of growth and development in interactions with children and families.
- Act 33 and 34 clearances.
