Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Overview:

Responsible for project managing all aspects of projects. From planning, budgeting, coordinating, monitoring, and communicating with clients, subcontractors, and others, to completing the project safely, on time, and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Facilitating project kick-off meetings with sales, customers, and field service teams to confirm project requirements.
  • Create and enter project budgets, timelines, and other project details into the ERP.
  • Participate in project team meetings with sales, engineering, design, and manufacturing and provide updates on the status of assigned projects
  • Keep the customer apprised of progress, and ensure consistent information flow to maintain the project schedule.
  • Keep the manager apprised of any problems that may delay or negatively impact the project budget
  • Follow up with customers to confirm and resolve any issues related to the project that may be delaying payment.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Communication skills: able to articulate thoughts clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Composure – keeps cool under pressure; able to effectively shift gears without being thrown off balance
  • Computer skills – proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and ERP Software
  • Drive for Results – follows up and pushes for results to ensure the project progresses according to schedule; ensures resolution to problems that potentially delay the project
  • Problem-solving – anticipates and develops solutions to help head off problems that could delay the project
  • Project Management: develops and leads implementation of project plan; coordinates the project team; ensures project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Planning/Organizing: Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; develops realistic action plans
  • Teamwork: Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to other’s views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone’s efforts to succeed

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • Project management experience, min 5 years
  • Previous construction and or industrial experience.
  • Strong IT experience including exceptional Excel skills and full Microsoft Office Suite products knowledge.
