Position Overview:

  • LPS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Product Line Manager (PLM) to join our team in Humble, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in metallurgical analysis, NDT scanning equipment and data interpretation. The EMI Product Line Manager will oversee this product line including P&L responsibility for the product line, R&D, manufacturing, commercialization, sales & marketing, customer satisfaction and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of EMI scanning operations
  • Utilize advanced EMI technology to conduct thorough inspections of continuous sucker rods, coiled tubing and production tubing, rod pumping systems, plunger lift systems, PCP artificial lift systems, and salt water disposal wells.
  • Interpret EMI scan results to identify potential defects, anomalies, or areas of concern, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate closely with Production Engineers, Field Supervisors, and Asset Managers to address EMI scan findings and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for EMI scanning operations, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and safety protocols.
  • Train and mentor junior EMI technicians to ensure competency and proficiency in scanning techniques and equipment operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of EMI scan data, inspection reports, and equipment maintenance history for reference and analysis.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in EMI technology and industry trends, incorporating new techniques and methodologies as applicable to enhance inspection capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in EMI scanning operations within the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting EMI scanning equipment, including familiarity with different scanning techniques and software platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex scan data and identify trends or patterns indicative of equipment health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading teams or projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements governing oilfield operations.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations as needed for onsite inspections and support.
