- Excellent understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and order replenishment techniques required
- Self-started with excellent organizational skills required

§ Principal Accountabilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day support of assigned manufacturing facility.
- Primary interface between manufacturing plant operations and SCM.
- Implement Negotiated PO Terms & Conditions (Quality, Delivery, Price, Transport & Logistics, Value Add Services, etc.)
- Monitor order status and past due reports; expedite & de-expedite orders
- Initiate/Conduct Supplier interface & meetings
- Participate in the Supply Base Management Team (SBIT) Process
- Participate in the SCM Cost Savings Team Process (SCM-CST)
- Champion Special Needs/Projects as directed by SCM Management
- Negotiate lead-time and min/mult requirements; establish appropriate safety stock levels
- Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance and initiate corrective action
- Develop and maintain assigned ISO procedures and related work instructions
- Support Supplier (Domestic) Negotiation Team Process (Champion Negotiation Team Process)
- Support/Coverage for department personnel as needed (Other Buyers)
- Responsible for the Purchasing of piece parts to support boiler and kit production
- Responsible for the purchase of (tactical) Steel, Castings (Aluminum & Iron), China Casting procurement.
- Responsible for the administration of the following ECR SCM Program initiatives: Consignment; Safety Stock (Purchased parts, Transferred/Manufactured Parts, Kits, etc.); Kanban, PO Terms, Inventory Value
- Participate in ECR SCM Safety Program Initiative
- Participate in ECR SCM Lean Program Initiative
- Support 'on-time' delivery improvement of Finished Goods (FG) and Service Parts (SP)
- Support Development & Implementation of New Sourcing Supplier Quality Initiative
