A Tennessee based glass and glazing company is searching for a qualified candidate to join and grow with their team. The company specializes in residential and commercial glass and glazing projects and garners a strong reputation in the industry. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company with huge career growth potential.

This is a sales and operations role with high executive visibility, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position typically works normal business hours in the Clarksville, TN office, with occasional project site visits and off-site customer meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in business software and tools, such as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to learn industry-specific estimation and CRM tools, at the direction and guidance of the existing team.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills to accurately assess project costs and quantities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • High school diploma. College degree preferred but not required.
  • Background check required.
  • Construction background strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Training will be provided to enable the candidate to perform the following tasks:

  • Customer Management and Outreach: Source and maintain relationships with local and regional contractors, developers, architects, and other key members of potential or bid projects.
  • Project Assessments: Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and other relevant documents to accurately assess the scope of work required for glazing projects.
  • Cost Estimations: Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for glazing projects, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other associated expenses.
  • Quantity Take-offs: Perform precise quantity take-offs of glazing materials and components to determine accurate project costs.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid packages, ensuring all relevant details and cost breakdowns are clearly presented.
  • Proposal Submission: Submit accurate and timely proposals to clients, ensuring compliance with project requirements and adhering to bid deadlines.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs with actual costs, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, material costs, and glazing techniques to enhance estimation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless handover of projects from estimation to execution.
