Our client in Somerset, NJ is looking for temp-to-hire Maintenance Mechanics

Hours: Day Shift - 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $25hr - $33hr DOE

Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Perform & complete hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting
  • Repair of molding machines, supporting equipment, and facility repair
  • Installation of new assets, electric, plumbing & mechanical along with building & auxiliary equipment repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance of assigned functions
  • Maintain Assembly production equipment on a daily basis to ensure they are running to optimum performance.
  • Train, instruct, and audit operators on proper machine operation based on Standard Work Procedure..
  • Keep production records via log book and IQMS reports
  • Make necessary and/ or routine machine adjustments and to repair equipment
  • Responsible for knowing how to operate all machines and equipment in order to understand their function and repair them
  • Responsible for knowing and identifying all different styles of caps, jars, and their codes(i.e. S, RS, RM, RMX)
  • Responsible for making tooling changes (size)
  • Has the primary responsibility of the PMs on the entire fleet of Injection Molding Machines and Molding Support. 

Mechanic Requirements:

  • Must have 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using electric & hydraulic schematics, with proven troubleshooting abilities
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, work overtime as needed, and share responsibilities with the On-Call System
  • 2+ years experience electrical/mechanical background
  • 2 + years prior injection molding experience
  • 2+ years working experience in facilities manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
