The Project Manager will be responsible for Managing subcontractors, job site meetings, submittals, RFI’s, project administration, reading project documents, helping with estimating, enabling the completion of jobs in a timely manner by scheduling and overseeing the project and assisting with special projects as assigned.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to the project team, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to assess progress and address any issues or concerns.
  • Encourage professional development and training opportunities for team members.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and monitoring of expenses.
  • Track project costs, analyze budget variances, and implement corrective measures, as necessary.
  • Review and approve project invoices, change orders, and payment requests.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare accurate and competitive bids for new projects.
  • Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that construction meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and address any construction defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Implement appropriate corrective actions and preventive measures to maintain project quality and integrity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and resolving issues.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings and generate reports to keep stakeholders informed about project status, milestones, and any significant developments.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in commercial construction and project management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project management abilities, including planning, organizing, and resource allocation.
  • Sound understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and people skills.
  • Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and the ability to be on time and ready to work

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass background check to drive company vehicle.
  • Travel required.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Work primarily outdoors, occasionally indoors, in all types of weather

Conditions/Environments.

  • Demonstrate a full range of motion with neck, arms, shoulders, hands, torso, legs, and feet.
  • Visual acuity: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Understanding of how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Challenge others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.
  • Have small hand tools as required.

Experience:

  • Construction Project management: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

Ability to Relocate:

  • Louisville, KY

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Required)
