Overview:
Vaco is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and manage technology projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT processes, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Execute projects according to plan, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.

  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
    • Assign tasks and provide guidance and support to team members.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress and resolve any issues.

  3. Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and upper management.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring that project goals align with business objectives.
    • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.

  4. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
    • Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards.
    • Implement project management best practices and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting notes.
    • Prepare and present project reports and status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a minimum of 5 years in managing technology projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Experience with project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
