Position: HVAC Trainee
Location: Big Spring TX
Pay: $17-$24/hr DOE
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 5:30PM with on-call availability (Plenty of OT offered)

Overview: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our maintenance team as an HVAC Trainee. This role is perfect for someone with a minimum of 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance who is eager to advance their career by becoming HVAC certified through our training program.

Responsibilities:

  • HVAC Certification: Complete training and obtain HVAC certification prior to starting responsibilities.
  • Light Electrical and Plumbing: Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs as needed.
  • Make Readies: Prepare apartments for new residents, ensuring units are clean, functional, and ready for move-in.
  • Painting: Touch-up and paint units as necessary to maintain aesthetic standards.
  • Sheetrock: Repair and replace sheetrock to maintain structural integrity.
  • Changing Locks: Replace and rekey locks to ensure tenant security.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
  • Willingness to complete HVAC training and certification.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
