We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, with a focus on precision and quality. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other team members.


Summary

The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely. This role involves managing resources, optimizing workflows, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a collaborative work environment.


Essential Functions

Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance workflows, reduce waste, and improve productivity.

● Allocate resources effectively, adjusting schedules to meet production demands and ensure optimal machine utilization.

● Assign and prioritize jobs, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation in relevant systems.

● Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer requirements.

● Evaluate and assign employees to machines to maximize efficiency and output.

● Monitor and adjust machine assignments based on workload and capabilities.

● Work with the Production Manager to create and implement efficient production workflows.

● Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain high product standards.

● Monitor in-process quality checks and address deviations from quality standards.

● Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve any quality issues.

● Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure smooth production processes.

● Report discrepancies, challenges, and opportunities for improvement to the Production Manager.

● Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages cross-functional teamwork.

● Maintain accurate records of machine assignments, production output, and quality control data.

● Generate and share reports on production performance with the Production Manager.

● Assist in documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process improvements.


Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

● Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.

● At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting.

● Experience with CNC machines and lean manufacturing principles (preferred).

● Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, including machining, laser cutting, and welding.

● Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
