Job overview:

This purchaser role identifies products from assigned categories with appropriate demand, quality, pricing, and availability. Assist with negotiating payment & trade terms, delivery and material tracking. This role will also oversee the sourcing process and materials/reports for management, as well as provide sourcing and procurement advice to business areas.

Responsibilities:

  1. Source, compare, procure & negotiate with subcontractors, manufacturer and material suppliers
  2. Key liaison for international and domestics vendors
  3. Manage lead times to meet business requirements
  4. Enter all supplier information, internal and external purchase order in ERP
  5. Work with international freight forwarders to coordinate all aspects of inbound ocean and air shipments
  6. Support sales and engineers by anticipating requirements and reacting quickly to changes in demand
  7. Maintain logistics, material and labor cost book

Qualifications:

  1. Business diploma/ degree preferred
  2. Supply chain experience preferred
  3. 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
  4. PC literate with experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
  5. Great attention to detail
  6. Excellent in planning and organizing multiple projects with competing demands and deadlines
  7. A team player and able to multi-task in a highly cross-functional team environment
