Shift Available:

  • Nights: 9pm-7:30 am (Urgent Need, 4 days a week / rotating weekends)

Job Summary and Qualifications:

Our Medical Technologists (MT) perform assigned laboratory tests in specialty departments to include Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. By conducting laboratory tests and procedures, you will help to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and their results.
  • Specimen receiving and putting away supplies when received in the department.
  • Troubleshoot/resolve instrument problems, document corrective action in appropriate log, and perform instrumentation repairs when necessary.
  • Assure quality control is properly performed and logged, follow proper department procedures for corrective action.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to train new employees and/or students.
  • Actively participate in phlebotomy and accession responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field.
  • Open to experience, even new grads, as long as they have completed clinical in a hospital. Any MT experience or even MLT experience works as well.
  • Medical Technologist (MT) registry required to start.
  • ASCP or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Candidates need to have taken the MT exam/applied to state in order to be considered for the role.
