Job DescriptionJob Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced set carpenter to join our team at MacGuffin Makers

Responsibilities:

- Construct and assemble stages, sets, scenic elements according to specifications and design plans

- Work closely with the production team to ensure sets are safe, functional, and visually appealing

- Maintain and repair set pieces as necessary

- Assist with load-ins, strikes, and other production-related tasks as needed

- Collaborate with other craftsmen, designers, and technicians on projects

NOTE: We are hiring multiple positions in this department. Varying levels are experience are welcome to apply.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in carpentry is preferred, optimally in the entertainment industry

- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials

-Additional skillsets preferred include painting, engineering, finish work, and ability to generate CAD plans.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
