We are seeking a skilled Stamp Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Stamp Press Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining stamping presses to produce high-quality stamped parts. The ideal candidate should have experience in operating stamping equipment, possess mechanical aptitude, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Operates and assists in setups for power punch press that automatically feeds steel blanks or steel coils.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Run progressive and/or transfer stamping presses
  • Complete coil changes, set up and correct steel feeds, and troubleshoot presses as needed.
  • Ensure the production of quality products
  • Drive productivity and efficiency within the team
  • Complete and/or assist with changeovers, ensuring change-over times are met
  • Collaborate with maintenance and tooling teams to keep the press in working order
  • Ability to verify and measure quality checks to tight tolerances
  • Fill out shift output/downtime shift reports
  • Report all machine malfunctions to Supervisors
  • Strive to produce only Quality Products, ensuring that each package is labeled with the correct tracking information.
  • Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time, and be at the workstation ready for work at the start of the shift.
  • Perform Cleaning Duties as required, to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Use of PPE at all required times. This includes, but is not limited to Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots, and hearing Protection.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic education, On-the-job training; or two (2+) years experience
  • Trade school a plus
  • Ability to successfully operate and produce stamping presses
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Self-starter

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is above 85 decimals, and hearing protection is required.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • 8-10 hours per day standing and moving around the facility including stairs

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Stamping press: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
