POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing a team of Sales Consultants. The District Manager position is responsible for training and educating employees on the Romano Regal Wine Company standards for distribution, shelf placement, cold box priorities, display and case goals and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance to ensure achievement of supplier’s quantitative and qualitative sales goals results for Sales Reps.
  • Implement and develop a high-performing sales function.
  • Develop sales representatives through coaching and development through personal work-withs in the market (minimum 1 per month per rep).
  • Identify and evaluate talent; communicate a potential career path for potential managers.
  • Evaluate and optimize sales territories; set benchmarks for each sales representative by monitoring sales performance and measuring sales projections against actual performance.
  • Work closely with VP of Sales to identify and support company priorities, supplier and account acquisition and sales growth strategies.
  • Lead the implementation of processes for prioritizing, planning and sales related KPI development.
  • Utilize available tools, technology and reports to optimize the sales function.
  • Establish meeting schedules and key agenda items for assigned team.
  • Analyze sales trends to anticipate changes in sales forecasts.
  • Train, implement and adhere to HR Policies and employee handbook guidelines
  • Establish and build strong relationships with major suppliers and key customers.
  • Monitor inventory, invoices, and deposits to verify compliance and timeliness
  • Identify potential issues and suggest prompt solutions
  • As business needs adjust, other duties may be assigned


HOW CONTRIBUTIONS WILL BE MEASURED:

  • Achievement of overall sales revenue, case growth and profitability targets of the company.
  • Year over year performance of front-line sales leaders and their sales teams (revenue, case growth, PODs (points of distribution), mix of brand sales.
  • Profitability of sales reps and territories (territory optimization).
  • Talent development, engagement and retention.

Helps others bring their best every day; coaches and develops others to higher levels of performance. Teach sales reps and front-line managers time management (prioritization), how to use sales information to pre plan every call, how to efficiently manage your time in a store, making effective sales presentations, overcoming objections, and eventually closing the sale.
  • Results Orientation. Delivers the numbers; anticipates and addresses problems head-on and works to resolve them without delay, excuses or finger pointing; readily identifies gaps in sales trends and proactively initiates productive courses of action to address; prioritizes time and resources to keep the organization focused on the most important actions that lead to the required results.
