Child Care Worker cares for and coordinates the activities of infants, toddlers and young children.

A Child Care Worker may perform the following tasks:

  • provide care for children in day care, before-school, after-school, and vacation care
  • work with children between the ages of 3 months and 8 years
  • assist children with crafts, read stories and play games
  • make sure that the physical environment is safe
  • make sure that procedures and government standards are adhered to
  • provide routine updates to parents
  • participate in professional development programs
  • assist in the development and implementation policies on a broad range of issues.
  • assist in the development and implementation of programs to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children
  • perform other duties as assigned

Personal Requirements:

  • alert, observant, active and able to use judgment and initiative
  • willing to accept responsibility and work cooperatively with others
  • able to relate well to children and their parents
  • patient
  • valid PA Drivers license
  • pass a PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • pass a PA State Police Criminal Record Check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

 

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

 

Expected hours: 40 per week
