Warehouse Assistant

Job Summary
As a Warehouse Assistant in the construction industry, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to receive, store, load, unload, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment to the construction teams on-site.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of orders.
- Unload and store materials in designated areas.
- Keep records up to date and ensure proper documentation for all materials.
- Prepare and package materials for delivery to construction sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Assist with the coordination of deliveries and pick-ups.
- Dispose of waste materials.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as trucks, trailers, and hand trucks as needed.
- Deliver parts to job site as needed.
- Clean bathrooms and office.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle physical workload and lift heavy objects of 85 lbs. or more.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Familiarity with construction materials and equipment is a plus
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Must have a car.
- Must have a clean driver's record.
