Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper / Government Contract Specialist

Location: San Antonio, TX- Hybrid Position

Job Type: Full-Time

Overview of Position: We are seeking a dedicated Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, preferably in government contracting, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various financial management activities. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with as needed in-office collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of expense reports.

Utilize computerized programs to perform bookkeeping duties and responsibilities.

Manage Contracts Modification Data.

Record and track payments accurately.

Assist in researching cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts.

Assist in maintaining and updating procedural manuals as needed.

Support financial management and analysis activities as requested.

Organize and maintain retention files for the required period.

Analyze financial data and reconcile software and ledgers.

Ensure financial records comply with regulatory standards.

Generate financial reports.

Collaborate with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.

Thorough understanding of debits and credits.

Gather supporting documentation and perform recordkeeping.

Support the Auditor, Controller, and other financial professionals as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Experience/Skills:

3-5 years of full charge bookkeeping experience or 1-2 years in government contract invoicing.

Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and some exposure to management reporting systems.

Ability to function effectively in a team environment and follow directions.

Extreme attention to detail.

Capability to work under tight deadlines with flexibility.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers.

Superior organization, time management, and prioritization skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Experience with SharePoint is preferred.

Education:

A college degree in a related field is preferred but not required.

Clearance:

Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background check.
