POSITION MISSION: (The essence of the job)
Rock Lititz is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Staff Accountant to manage and oversee accounting functions for our entities. This role ensures accurate financial records and collaborates with the Director of Financial Operations and the accounting team to develop and implement new systems as the business grows. The pay range will be determined by your experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (What must get done and how will we measure success)
Accounting:
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor and tenant communications.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
- Maintain monthly financial worksheets for all entities.
- Handle loan-related reconciliations and documentation.
- Assist with construction loan draw requests, including compiling Excel charts and documentation.
- Maintain financial tracking documents and manage vendor information (W-9s, insurance, addresses).
- Organize and work with outside team to create 1099 paperwork at the end of the year.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of 1099 forms.
- Approve wire and ACH payments and issue checks to vendors weekly.
Administrative:
- Oversee and organize filing systems for financial records.\
- Backup and store digital records as needed.
- Assist with meeting organization and special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and Experience: 3-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks is required. Experience in the live event industry is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the capacity to multitask. Must be adaptable and work independently when needed.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information in writing, in person, and over the phone
- Cultural Fit: Ability to work well with others, excel in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
