Licensed Insurance Sales Agent

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the Sales Agent is responsible for generating new Insurance One Agency business through Real Estate One, Inc. and independent leads. The position is responsible for marketing and selling insurance products in a defined sales territory.
Responsibilities:
- Originates policies through a network of relationships including but not limited to realtors, mortgage reps, etc.
- Consults and sells to Customers the appropriate insurance product(s).
- Use IOA systems to find the appropriate product and price.
- Responsible for educating potential and existing customers on the agency’s products and services to generate new business; keeps abreast of the products, market conditions, competition, and general industry trends.
- Responsible for developing excellent customer relations by listening and understanding customers; anticipating and providing solutions to customer concerns/inquiries.
- Opportunity to work in an office with Real Estate Agents and Loan Officers.
- Responsible for consistently meeting department sales goals.
- Completes any other duties/projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any direct reports.
Qualifications needed to perform this position:
- High school diploma (College Preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of recent insurance experience and/or a combination of education and experience. Must have proven sales and consulting experience.
- P&C License
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent oral, written, and language skills to be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Responds well to customers’ questions and speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations; Must have a clear and professional speaking voice; must be able to handle rejection.
- Excellent mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
