Overall Objective of Job:

To process daily financial transactions, perform account maintenance, and to communicate effectively with customers & clients of the Commonwealth Fund Services.

 

Essential Functions of Job:

  • Process daily mutual fund purchases, redemptions, transfers and exchanges;
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer service to shareholders, broker/dealers and prospective customers;
  • Provide shareholder account maintenance, including but not limited to: opening a new account, address changes, statement and web user set-ups, registration, etc.;
  • Provide backup for daily reconciliation of escrow accounts;

  Track and post commission data weekly;

  • Process quarterly and annual tax reports;
  • Perform administrative office functions, including but not limited to: filing and imaging, copying, processing mail, etc.;
  • Process internal operations reports;
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

A.    Education/Training:

  Associate’s degree, or equivalent, preferred but not required.

 

B.     Work Experience:

  2-3 years of experience in customer service and customer relations;

  Experience with a call center is helpful.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  Excellent verbal skills;

  Excellent customer service skills;

  Must have excellent interpersonal skills in order to handle confidential or sensitive situations;

  Proven administrative and organizational skills;

  Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office programs and the Internet;

  Ability to function in a multi-tasked environment.
